Nonlinear deterministic sea wave prediction using instantaneous velocity profiles

چکیده
Optimizing the production of wave energy converters using Model Predictive Control (MPC) requires a real-time, deterministic prediction waves arriving at device. This study presents new method for sea prediction, horizontal velocity profile over water column as boundary condition dedicated nonlinear model. However, direct measurement component whole vertical is hardly achievable sea. A to reconstruct this from devices currently use, such ADCPs, thus presented and evaluated. The performance itself then tested synthetic numerical data. First, reconstruction Then, procedure assessed. In both these stages, simulations are based on data outcomes compared with reference solutions. results show that promising enough justify further investigation through tank experiments.
